  • Component Repair or Replacement: We can repair or replace faulty components of your Camper AC system, including compressors, fans, thermostats, and capacitors, using Proper OEM parts for lasting performance. We can also provide complete parts and repair for motorhome dash AC systems or basement/split AC systems. These parts can be difficult to source, but Blue Moon has access and stock of what you need. We can even upgrade your Cruisair to the newest basement AC, Aqua Air, designed to fit existing Class A Motorhomes and specialty trailers.

Refrigerant Services: Our technicians possess EPA 608 certification; they have completed challenging testing to earn this qualification. We also have the latest equipment for reclaiming refrigerants and testing for leaks in dash AC and basement/split systems.

  • The only way to diagnose and correct many Dash AC issues involves the use of refrigerants. Many motorhome owners experience lukewarm airflow which can be a result of a Dash AC system leak. It is not sufficient to simply add refrigerant, but the true issue is the leak. Finding Dash AC leaks can be costly, and you do not want to mess around with a novice shop.

Dash AC problems can take longer to repair depending on diagnostics. As opposed to a self-contained rooftop AC unit, a dash AC has greater complexity and many feet of refrigerant line and fittings to inspect. Diagnostics can be expected to be a minimum of one hour, while repair can be as simple as replacing a small fitting to needing to access components located in the dash which adds repair time. It may be necessary to evacuate the system to identify where the refrigerant is leaking.

Basement/split AC systems require annual cleaning and maintenance that can take up to 1-2 hours per unit. As the repair time for this type of system is significant, it is critical to keep up with maintenance. Basement/split AC systems repair times can range from 8-10 hours per unit.

Can I prevent my RV AC from breaking down?

Regular maintenance is key. If you have pets or spend time in places with significant pollen, air born debris and dust, you will want to service your AC more than once a year. These environments create more debris that can accumulate in and on your AC. One thing to remember is that AC failures rarely happen during mild weather.
